RESPACK recently organised a menstrual health awareness session at SJK (C) Peng Min, aimed at equipping upper primary school girls with essential knowledge about puberty, personal hygiene, and self-care. The programme was conducted in a comfortable and encouraging setting, allowing students to better understand the physical and emotional changes that come with growing up.
Throughout the session, the girls were guided to recognise menstruation as a normal and healthy part of life. Emphasis was placed on building confidence, maintaining proper hygiene, and developing positive self-care habits that can support them both in school and at home.
A key highlight of the programme was an interactive sharing by the ACTIV team. Students were introduced to the correct usage of ACTIV sanitary pads, including the features of ACTIV Ultra Thin Pads, known for their slim design, dependable absorbency, and comfortable fit suitable for active school days. Step-by-step guidance on proper application, changing routines, and hygienic disposal was clearly demonstrated to ensure the girls felt prepared and informed.
To reinforce what they had learned, each participant received a sample pack to take home. This provided them with the opportunity to become more familiar with the products and apply their knowledge confidently in their daily lives. The open discussion segment also encouraged students to ask questions freely, helping to break misconceptions and reduce the stigma surrounding menstrual health.
RESPACK is proud to continue supporting educational initiatives that empower young girls with knowledge, confidence, and dignity. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the teachers and staff of SJK (C) Peng Min for their strong cooperation and for creating a supportive environment that made this outreach programme meaningful and impactful.
