RESPACK recently carried out a menstrual hygiene education programme at SJK (C) Boon Beng, focusing on providing upper primary school girls with accurate knowledge about puberty, personal care, and self-confidence during their growing years. The session was conducted in a safe and supportive environment, allowing students to learn comfortably and openly.
During the programme, students were guided to better understand menstruation as a natural part of development. The sharing emphasised the importance of proper hygiene practices, emotional reassurance, and developing healthy habits that support both daily school life and personal well-being.
One of the highlights of the session was an engaging and practical demonstration by the ACTIV team. The girls were introduced to the correct way to use ACTIV sanitary pads, including the benefits of ACTIV Ultra Thin Pads, which are designed to be slim, comfortable, and discreet for everyday school activities. Clear explanations were provided on pad placement, changing frequency, and hygienic disposal to ensure students felt confident and prepared.
To reinforce the learning experience, each participant received a sample pack to bring home. This allowed the girls to familiarise themselves with menstrual care products and apply what they had learned at their own pace. The session also encouraged open dialogue, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, clarify concerns, and build a positive mindset towards menstrual health.
RESPACK remains committed to empowering young girls through education and awareness initiatives that promote confidence, dignity, and self-care. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the teachers and staff of SJK (C) Boon Beng for their cooperation and support in making this outreach programme a meaningful success.
